Farren Family from Clonca
« on: Saturday 29 January 05 23:39 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am searching for information on the Farren's from Clonca.  Here is what I know:

Michael Farren and Mary (McLaughlin) Farren had the following:

John
Anne
Patrick born abt 1838
Margaret born abt 1834

The above children all went to the US.  I believe somewhere around 1850.

Margaret Farren is my direct ancestor.  She married Clark Wilkins bef 1854, they had the following:

Mary Wilkins born 1854
John  C. Wilkins born 1856

Both of the above children were born in Brighton, MA.

Margaret died in Dec 1922.  Her death certificate lists her parents as Michael Farren and Mary McLaughlin.

Patrick Farren died in 12 Oct 1872 in Tewksbury, MA.  I have papers related to his death.  On those papers it talks about a brother John, sisters, Margaret and Anne.  His tombstone mentions that he is from Clonca Donegal Ireland.  His brother John had the stone made.

I don't have much information on John or Anne.  I do know that when Patrick died in 1872, the surviving siblings had not seen or spoken to Anne in 6 years.

I am desperately seeking any info on this family.  I would love to connect these ancestors.

Thanks!
