Hi Sylvie
I realise this is an old post, but I am chasing that exact same Hogg family.  I have information about Andrew to recent, but am looking for the earlier stuff if you have any.
cheers Barbara

Hi
I was just searching family history and found your post.  My great great grandfather Ambrose Hogg and his wife Eleanor had 2 sons born in Berwick on Tweed.  My great grandfathers name was Thomas Hogg and his brothers name was William.  Tom Hogg worked in the coal mines and then went into the cold stream guards until he was wounded in 1914.  Him and his wife Rhoda Frazer with their 3 sons emigrated to canada in 1923.  Look forward to hearing from you, tom.

Hello Cteer
like penmoris, I'm afraid I cannot see any connection with our family of Hoggs.  They either stayed in Berwick or went to Australia, and none I can find were coal merchants.
Hope you find yours
Cheers Barbara

Hi Sylvia

My Husband's 1st cousin once removed married Falcus Hogg b 1916 Stickley Farm, Cramlington, Northumberland.

His father was Benjamin Hogg b 1886 Stickley Farm, Cramlington, married Elizabeth Rawlings b 1881 Pegswood, Bedlington

His father was Benjamin William Hogg b 1846 Blyth married Margaret Collingwood b 1864 Stickley Farm, Cramlington

His father was Thomas Hogg b 1806 Earsdon, Northumberland wife name unknown

Are here any links to your Hoggs?

Carol

Thomas Hogg married Eleanor Bennet/t 21 Nov 1826 St Alban's, Earsdon. The Bennett's had lived at Stickley Farm. I don't know how old the farm is? My 6th great-grandfather William Bennett (died 1802) is listed of Stickley Farm on his probate dated 1804. The families are inter-related.
Honour your female ancestors by remembering to record woman by their maiden name.
