Glad to have been of help....

It'll pay to keep checking that website, as they are adding many thousands of new pages each week. It will be brilliant as it covers more years and more newspapers.......

Hi ~

I am a decendant of John Voysey and Margaret Good,  who did immigrate to Australia on the
Fortitude.  I have seen a copy of the ships log with their names in it.

John Voysey was the 3rd son of Zecharia Voysey (b.1770) who married Catherine Lugg (B.1776) in
Exeter on 23/2/1794,  they moved to Cornwall,  then eventually moved to London early in the
1800's.  Johns siblings are - James - Mary - Catherine - Thomas, Hannah - Elizabeth - George and
William.
Catherine's parents are James Lugg and Catherine Spencer both born in 1749.
they had 6 children -  James, George, Thomas, Mary & Elizabeth (Lugg)

Zecharia Voysey's Father was James Voysey who married Hannah Peck on the 23rd of July
1763 - Zecharia had a sister Mary and a brother James.  Hannah was burried 21st of August
1786,  I have found out that Hannah had a sister,  Elizabeth,  I have a few sketchy details
on the Peck family and would love more.

I have copies of some details of them from mircofilm records,  from the Boyds marraige
index - Devon
I also have copies of 38 entries of Voyseys in Queensland - re: their
marriages, births and deaths -  dated from 1859 - 1889.

This is all I know for now,  I am looking for more information.
I do believe that this Voysey line is related to Charles FA Voysey - the architect ~
Any information anyone can offer me would be greatly appreciated ~
Including any surnames mentioned here ~

thank you
I am sorry but my email address is no longer working.

Hi there

I do have quite a bit on information on this line now - sadly, the architect is at least note a *directly* connected family.

Please let me know if there is anything in particular you are still searching for, and I will do my best to help you out.

Hi there MatildaFlorence!
I am brand new to this and still learning so much but just thought I'd say hello after I saw your post. My mother's side of our family descend from Marion (nee Cunningham) & John Spence. We are based on QLD Australia. My great great grandfather was Albert John Voysey, my great grandfather Roy Charles Voysey and my grandfather Neville Sidney Voysey.
