Maria Hailstone
« on: Thursday 16 October 08 23:18 BST (UK) »
Thought this would be easy Maria was born Hull 1875 her father was John
She married in Wales  Cardiff in 1897 I can see her as a boarder in Cardiff on 1891 census and as a married woman in 1901 Maria Fouracro should be Fouracre
Any suggestions please I have been looking for hours
John apparentally came to Wales and was killed rescuing someone in a mining accident

There's a Maria Hailstone born in 1876 in Hull - West Sculcoates district.  Is that what you're looking for?

Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.

There's a John Hailstone born in Goole on the 1881 census, living in Hull, aged 39.  His wife and children are young enough to be a second family.
Your best bet is to get the birth certificate of Maria and go from there.

You seem certain that her father's name was John.  Where did you get that from?  Is it possible that she was adopted into a relative's family?
