[Dolgellau]

Due to service reorganisation Certificates for the Meirionnydd Area of Gwynedd are now only available through the Dolgellau Office

If you would like to purchase a certificate, call the service on 01766 771000

Cost of certificates
copy of a current entry certificate (from a register which is currently in use): £3.50
copy of a non-current certificates (entry on a register with has been completed): £7.00
short birth certificates: £5.50 (please note – short birth certificates are not usually sufficient for a number of official processes e.g. to apply for a passport) They are not much use for family history purposes either!

You can pay for your certificate over the phone using a debit card.

The 01766 771000 number is a central one for all Gwynedd registration services, so it can be used for Caernarfonshire (west of Bangor) certificates too.

I'm sure I pay £9.00 for all my certificates from Dolgellau Office! Am I paying too much?

No the prices quoted above were correct at the time of posting in December 2009; the price went up to £9.25 in April 2010. By charging £9.00 Gwynedd are actually supplying copies bellow the recommended price.

Oh right, I see.  I'm sorry, I'm still quite inexperienced on this site and tend not to read pages thoroughly enough!  I don't notice dates and times of posting!!
