My mother (now dead) was born in Edinburgh and I have her details of birth and from that I have obtained my grandparents marriage certificate.
They were George Angus and Elizabeth Whigham who were married on 23rd July at Uphall in 1906.
His parents were John Angus and Ann Robertson (she died pre 1906 )
Her parents were John Whigham and Christina Wardrop.
The witnesses were William and Marion Whigham.
And more than that I do not know, can any one help me please?
I must say that the Scottish certificates do seem to have a lot more information than the English ones !!
I do remember visiting my grandmother when I was a child and remember that she lived at Forbes Street.
