Can you tell us:

Was there any information on the 1850 marriage that would be helpful - a farm name, mention of parents, witness?
What was William ROBERTSON senior's occupation (as listed on his son's 1868 death records)
Were both parents of William Jnr   listed as 'deceased' on his death cert (William Jnr was only 49-ish when he died)
Do you have William Jnr on the 1841 Census - any clues?
On William Jnr's death record, did it say for his mother that she was Susan ROBERTSON  m.s. STEWART.
Any ideas on any siblings for William Jnr?
What was the family religion as far as you know it?

no marriage cert available pre 1855....
have found death cert for william robertson
william robertson (married to helen mcgregor) died 23/8/1868,kirriemuir, age 49, parents william robertson, domestic coachman(?) deceased & susan robertson m.s stewart, signed by william robertson,son
i believe family were church of scotland...
i can't find william jnr or william snr on 1841 census..
any help greatly appreciated
