I've just re-read the thread, The Sarah Ann that I found looks a good possibility, given that the policeman was also in Montgomery on the 1901.

Hi

I've been searching again but I can't see a definite for  Sarah (Ann) Cissy/Sissy etc.  Davies b.c. 1888. Also, she would only have been 14-15 when Florence was born.  I'm wondering if Sarah Ann was slightly older.

There is a birth registration for a Florence May that fits the 1902 date:

Dec q, 1902, Oswestry, vol 6a page 675.

I think waiting for the 1911  might be the best course of action.

Also, it might be worth obtaining Florence's marriage cert to see what the father's name is.
