Arnold Bodell

I am trying to determine the parents of Arnold  Bodell  c. Aug 1st 1563 Hailsham, he married Joanne Gats Oct 3rd 1589 Hailsham.
I believe his fater might be John Bodell c. 1535 Hailsham and had brothers John c. 1559 and Thomas  c. 1566,  and sisters  Phebe, Elyzabeth, and Jone.
John died in Hailsham in 1569 and left a will naming his children. I would like to know if this is the Arnold who was a son of this John Bodell .
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dave,
The Sussex Marriage Index doesn't give too many clues with Arnold's marriage even though it was by licence;

 Archdeaconry of Lewes Marriage Licence,  15 Sep 1589:
 Arnold BODLE
 Joan GATES, sp.Hailsham
 Sponsors ss Edwd. FOOTE; Robt.FRENCHE husd.Hailsham

The actual marriage.

 Hailsham, East Sussex,    3 Oct 1589:
 Arnold BODELL
 Joan GATS

If you suspect his father was John, I don't think he married in Sussex as the earliest marriage for a John Bodell in Sussex was 1578.  The other Bodell marriages seem to suggest that the family might have originally come from Kent.  Did you find Arnold's baptism in Hailsham?

Thanks for the update
There is reference to John's will in  "Salzmann's History of Hailsham "  It is dated March 13th 1569 and names I believe 5 children , one being Arnold.
The John in question was apparently christ. 1535 in Hailsham and married a Jane ?  in about 1558 in Sussex, possibly Nutley ?
His parents were John Bodell and Margery Bedett,  John born 1515  and Margery 1515c , both buried in Hailsham
There is also a reference in Salzmann's book that the family name was orig le Bothel

Sorry Chas, I've being calling you Dave    Must have got muddled with another look-up.  Have you Googled the name Bodell?  Plenty on the web about this family.
It's going to be pretty hard to prove that Arnold who married Joan is the same Arnold mentioned in the will of John. Arnold was only about 6 when his father died so the usual naming of grandchildren, which normally helps in proving relationships,  is not going to be present in the will 
 Have you found a burial for an Arnold, just to make sure he survived into adulthood?  What about the naming pattern of Arnold's children?  Arnold seems a fairly uncommon name for those days.  Perhaps there's some other documentation out there which might give you the link, conveyance of land or property perhaps,

It was Arnold's father ( I hope )  John 1535 who married Jane ?.
 Arnold married Joanne Gats Oct 3rd 1589 Hailsham.  I believe their children were  ;
Nicholas c. April 30 1592   Hailsham
William  c.  Sept 8th  1594  Hailsham
Martha  c.  Dec 7th  1600  Hailsham
Jane     c.  March 13th  1596
Arnold (Arnowle) c. July 5th 1590  Hailsham
Katherine  c. Sep 5th  1602  Hailsham

The father Arnold also shows as Arnowle in IGI  as does the son
