The person I am looking for is Margaret Emmerson sometime after 1930 ?
Stories say she died at Winterton, other than that I have little info on her.
Do you have any burial for her, she was born 1908

I'm new to Rootsweb though not to family history (Been doin' it a while now!) I just wondered if on your list of burials for Winterton House you had the name Mary Alice Rose or Mary Alice Storey I think it would be the 1940's. I would be very grateful for your help.

I have my Grandfathers Death Certificate.  It does say, under the heading Signature, description and residence of informant ... Causing the body to be buried.  It also says that Winterton House was the place of his death.  Does anyone have any ideas how I can find out where he was interred.

My Grandfathers surname was Robinson and he died in February 1966 and Winterton House is listed as the place of his death.  Could you please let me know, from your list, if he was interred at the hospital cemetery?

winterton house was a lunatic asylum but was also used as a convelescence home for sufferers of tuberculosis  i had a distant relative die there in the 1940s from t.b

sorry about the delay My relative was returned to the parish where he lived  so is recorded in the district of his death Others were buried within the grounds of winterton some unnamed \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\durham record office is your best bet  write to the archivist giving the details of your relative you might be lucky
