Arthur Edward Owen b.1871
« on: Monday 03 November 08 18:23 GMT (UK) »
Hallo Fellow Rootschatters
I am looking for information about Arthur Edward Owen and his children.  He was born in London in 1871 and migrated, by way of Nottingham, to Stoke on Trent.
He had at least four sons:
Arthur Llewelyn Owen
Bertram Flude Owen
Will Owen who was killed in 1916 in WWI
Owen Owen
I am trying to gain some information and insight into this part of my family.
Thanks
Kirk

Indeterminate in 1891 - get his 1893 Marriage Cert to reveal his Father's nam etc - should help pin him down ....

thought this might help, but not in 1891 - will try 1881 ..

This is all very interesting - thank you Suz and Newf !  :)
I know Arthur Edward's parentage - Arthur and Eliza Owen.
Interestingly AEs brother, Bertram Flude Owen (after whom he named one of his sons) married a widow too!
Now I am wanting to find out about his surviving children too but that might take some time...

Hi that is my great grandfather. I know he married a few time think it was 4. The last lady he married was a Indian lady and he left his house to my nan also called Ellen. Hence his move to Stockport. The home is still standing in ivy house rd Hanley.  I'v managed to get his fathers name but struggle after that. We were always told there was Welsh in the blood line. But don't know how true that is
