Hi Just something else to throw into the ring
Apologies if already posted

There is one pre 1900 mention of MILLER in Andrews surnames

EMMA MILLER ANDREWS 1893 ERoll Waitaki, Makikihi (she marries 1904 to WESTPHALL)
Could be her parents at same electorate address
Emma, Married Woman
James

Bye

The Death certificate says he was 60 years in NZ, and died at the age of 70, his parents were John Andrews and Martha Andrews(Galbraith), it said he came from Johnson Scotland?, maybe they meant Johnstone, either way its a mystery. I don't have his marriage cert yet.

Just throwing these in the "pot" too.    :)

(Extracted) entries from the IGI (familysearch.org) :

Annie Calderhead ANDREWS
b.  19 May 1874
Hamilton, Lanark, SCOTLAND
Parents -  John ANDREWS and Mary MILLAR

and

Daniel Craig Miller ANDREWS
b.  18 February 1873
Hamilton, Lanark, SCO
Parents -  John ANDREWS and Mary MILLER

So  ... are these the brother and sister of John ANDREWS (father of "your" Daniel)     ???

[Couldn't find a birth or marriage entry for John ANDREWS.]

Thank you for that KHP, it sounds like it could be very usefull.

Lucy I still had trouble with that connection to Dunedin cemetery today (even if you winked at me) so I went through the city site instead and got through, hopefully they will get back to me with that info. Michelle ;)
