Hi Rick,

We made contact ages ago.

Richard Perkins 2 July 1799 Saint Phillips, Birmingham, Warwick, England (there is another Richard Perkins born elsewhere in Warwick in 1798 also with parents Richard and Ann).

I also have

William Perkins 14 April 1800 Saint Phillips, Birmingham, Warwick, England.
Thomas Perkins 15 July 1796 Saint Phillips, Birmingham, Warwick, England
Ann Perkins 9 Jun 1797 Saint Phillips, Birmingham, Warwick, England
Elizabeth Perkins 10 May 1802 Saint Phillips, Birmingham, Warwick, England
Sarah Perkins 4 Nov 1805 Saint Phillips, Birmingham, Warwick, England

Richard Perkins married Harriet Kendrick  9 Nov 1823 at Aston Juxta Birmingham, England.

I have a copy of the Marriage entry and it says William Perkins and Ann Perkins were witnesses at the wedding.

William Perkins married Elizabeth Hall 13 Feb 1825 at Aston Juxta Birmingham. England
I have copy of the wedding entry and it says Richard Perkins and Harriet Perkins were the witnesses.

With both marriages the individuals that could read and those who couldn't match up too.

So the above William is Richard's brother.

The issue I currently have is identifying which Richard and Ann are their parents and where married.

I have become aware that there is an apprenticeship Indenture record dated 28 April 1774 wherein a William SHEPHERD Citizen & Gun Maker of London, took on a Richard PERKIN as an apprentice for a period of 7 years from 31 March 1774 -

The 1851 census of Aston Cantlow has a Richard Perkins, unmarried Agriculatural Labourer. He was baptised at Aston Cantlow on 23 December 1798, he also had parents of Richard & Ann PERKINS. Which makes the identification of the marriage of our Richard and Ann very difficult.

Kind Regards,

Wayne

yes I keep going back to that one.

as Thomas was christened about 5 months after it in Birmingham but the Aston Cantlow aspect is throwing me. Two Richards both in Warwick a couple of months apart both with parents of Richard and Ann is causing issues.
