VERCOE's/VARCOE's from Hill Street, Thames late 1800's **COMPLETE**
« on: Wednesday 12 November 08 20:37 GMT (UK) »
Just posting a general note to see if there are researchers out there descended from JOHN VARCOE/VERCOE senior from Roche area Cornwall and his 3 sons who came to NZ 1870
Shipping records have them as VASCO
Sailed London 16 December 1870
Ship 1500 tonnes, Captain D T Roberts.
Steerage Passengers listed as VASCO
Mr and Mrs J, 4 children
Mr J and Mrs, 3 children
Mr R
Mr W and Mrs, 3 children.

Sons were John, Robert and William.
I am descended from WILLIAM who was married to Phillipa Collicoat
I have alot of info but its as you reach the outter twigs the duplication of names becomes tricky.

Have all the research CD's, but thought I'll do a general SHOUT OUT for family before posting individual brick walls.

Bye
Althea  ;D

Emily is taking a break right now.. shes got a wee baby to take of  :P

I dont suppose she will have much time for genealogy for another 4 1/2  years or so  ;)

Would you mind if I took notes on her behalf? shes in NZ at the mo' visiting her parents so I presume shes left all her data back in England anyway (shes an ex-pat)

I will send off an email to her now.

Althea

I heard from Emily, shes very happy to share what she has with you, but won't be back in England till the middle of December.

If you dont hear from me (I'm forgetful) PLEASE pm me and remind me about it.  Emily is very thorough with her research so whatever she has will be worth finding out.
