Census Query??
« on: Friday 04 February 05 20:17 GMT (UK) »
Hi l wonder if anyone could kindly give me some advice?.

My ggrandfather was George NASH/NAISH he was born according to his army discharge papers in c1821 in Stockton near to the town of Codford, George remained in the army untill 1858/59 and in January 1860 he married Miriam Barter in Wylye, one of the witnesses was George's father James NAISH( He signs his name this way ) a Labourer.
My problem as such is l can't find James on either the 41 or 51 census and l know he was alive in Jan 1860?.
I would dearly like to find George's mothers name in the hope that l can locate his baptism, there is a James Naish on IGI married to a Charity and there are also several children listed but no George, also George named his first born "Diana CHARITY?, This could be a coincidence but Charity was not a common name but without a census entry to back it up l'm searching in the dark........sorry l'm going on.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Robert ???
