Agnes' father was William Woods (1831-1902) of Drumovarner, Kilrea, and mother was Mary Jane ? (1844-1895). Mary Jane and William are also buried at Kilrea 2nd Pres. Churchyard.
Between 1895 and 1902 William Woods then m. Matilda/Martha Jane ? who later m. ? Peden. She d. in 1955. Ater their parents deaths, the children of Agnes Woods and Alex Kerr were looked after by William Woods and Martha Jane who continued to do so after his death.
Two of the great gnddaughters of William Woods and Mary Jane (now 95 and 83 yrs old) still fondly talk of "Grandfather" Woods of Kilrea and Martha.
1. Who was Mary Jane who m. William Woods? Where married?
2. Who was Martha Jane who m. William? Where married?
Any help would be really appreciated!

Welcome to Rootschat. Will check a few of my notes and get back but meanwhile I think that 'Drumovarner' is actually Drumagarner townland.

Sister of Agnes (Woods) Kerr?:
John Gilmore, labourer, Boveedy, m.(9 May 1877 2nd Kilrea Presbyterian Church) Sarah Woods, Drumagarner, dau. of William Woods, labourer.

Possibly Martha Jane (Torrens) Woods' 2nd husband?:
Robert Brown Alexander Peden (14 June 1872-18 Sept.1936) m.(1895 CoDerry) Nannie Shaw. Son of Hugh Peden and Elizabeth Alexader of Mayoughill.

Can't find Martha Jane Torrens for sure yet but possibly this one?:
Martha Jane Torrens (29 Mar.1869), daughter of Hill Torrens and Mary Jane Hassan of Drumagarner.

Children of Agnes Woods and Alexander Kerr listed in IGI:
1. Mary Jane Kerr born 12 May 1878 Drumian (probably Drumane or Drumeen)
2. Thomas Kerr born 13 Aug.1880 Belfast

I have just started researching my family & by luck hit on your message. My grandfather William Woods Kerr b1873, father Alexander,  was brought up by a Martha Peden. His father died when he was young. Other brothers/sisters believed to have emigrated to Canada.

Did Alex Kerr & Agnes Woods have any more children before they died? The correspondence mentions Mary Jane & Thomas.

How did Alex die? Was it an industrial accident?
