The GWR magazine, including the relevant years are held at Swindon central library, they have also uploaded the photos of the  GWR employees who died in WW1 to their Flickr site;  http://www.rootschat.com/links/01mmb/

Regarding my search for Soldiers from Shrewsbury who served and died in WW1 and where employees of the G.W.R.,  I found reference to them as having photographs on the National Railway Museum website roll of honor which I found to be very good they had these soldiers below listed with photographs but when I logged on to the site I found their military details but no photographs
I have sent a message to the N.R.M., to see if they can help
