Although an old thread...( way to go finding so much about the ancestors for Elldina!) found Brother Francis Murdock Clark occupation: Baker in United States...
Frank Clark Death Feb 17th, 1910 Lowell, Massachusetts / unnamed spouse / Alexander Clark & Elizabeth Sim
image & cause of death can be seen here:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.2/9FL9-M6T/p2
His marriage to Minnie Allison where he has become even younger  ;D
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.2/M6V9-MY1/p4  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.2/M6JS-5KJ/p1
and younger yet on the 1910 census, says immigrated to U.S. 1889...but has parents & he born Eng.  :P
Wonder why we shouldn't take census information to the bank?

Elldi

on Charles James Detolla Barclay Clark (he was my great grandfather) we've worked out where Detolla came from - detolla is destiny number 6 - he was the sixth child from the marriage with Eliza Sim (all nine had Sim in the middle names)

Do you know more on what became of the 'Sim' children (especially on those that emigrated)?

Think you've gotten a bit muddled about the name Detolla but seeing something like this online-
"Numerological definition for this name gives a life path number of 6 for Detolla. People with the destiny number 6 are constantly seeking love."
http://www.waystospell.com/5/ways-to-spell/detolla

That's merely some sort of 'game' which is explained better here-
http://seventhlifepath.com/how-to-calculate-expression-destiny-number/

Nothing to do with the actual meaning a any particular name.

In this case the name possibly derives from a surname- ancestor, relative, family friend, etc.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Did second wife Georgina(nee Booth) have a middle name = Lovie?

and was there a 3rd child Frederick Clark (birth date unknown) but died 12 July 1920?

and what happened to Francis Clark (born 25 Feb 1908) and Robert Clark (born 1 May 1909) as I can't trace them??

Regards all - Kenny
