9 days to bury?
« on: Wednesday 10 December 08 14:01 GMT (UK) »
My Gt Gt Grandfather was born in 1818 in Broadhembury and died on 11th June 1894 in Broadhembury. He was buried nine days after his death. The date of death is confirmed by death cert. and the burial date by Parish records. Nine days between death and burial seems a long time for those days so has anyone come across this before or is it not as unusual as I think? Comments greatfully received. Geoff  ::)

11th was a Monday and the 20th was a wednesday.  Was there an inquest first
