Any chance that he is related to Hannah Mirinda Fearn (1873) of Surrey and her father Edward Fearn (1859).

Hi there,

Thanks for the welcome.

I have a death certificate of Hannah Marinda Gooding.  She is shown as dying in on the 19th June 1962, aged 83, which makes her born in 1879.  She first married Henry Wade Ollis and then Henry Gooding.  I have a marriage certificate between Hannah and Henry Wade Ollis.  I also have her death certificate.    Edward Fearn is recorded as her father on the Marriage certificate, he is shown as a storeman in the Royal Engineers.  It seems that Edwatd Fearn was married to Sarah Ann Driver.

How does this match up with any of your family history?

Regards

Hello lugs

So the 1879 birth is correct....and not 1873 as quoted below
Any chance that he is related to Hannah Mirinda Fearn (1873) of Surrey and her father Edward Fearn (1859).
Regards

William George Fearn who was born in 1919 was a friend's relative. I will have a look at the additional info you have supplied and see where it leads to?

You probably know all this but just in case....

It looks like Hannah had a daur before she married Henry Ollis.....Mary Edith O Fearn in the Mar qtr of 1899 Farnham R.D.
Hannah married Henry Ollis in the later part of 1900 Farnham, a son was born (Henry Harold Ollis) in the Sep qtr of 1901 then Henry Wade Ollis died at the later end of 1902 just before his daur was born (Kathleen Millicent Ollis) in the Mar qtr of 1903.

Hannah then went onto marry Harry Gooding in the Sep qtr of 1904 Farnham R.D and had two further children in Albert Harry Gooding and Edward Gerald Gooding

All 5 children are in the Gooding household in 1911

1878
Edward Fearn marries Sarah Ann Driver within the Farnham R.D so one imagines he was stationed within Barracks there when they met......

So it looks like Edward Fearn (senior) born about 1825 was born in Southwark 1871/1881 census although its not definite as in the 1861 he stated Kent and his wife Eliza came from Cambridgeshire although not certain as in 1861 she stated Essex and is she the same woman throughout......

further investigation required
