The record is just a single line containing the information I gave, so not worth buying the book.
Webb (Sussex), Barham (Sussex, Norfolk/Suffolk), Day (Somerset), Rowett(Somerset, Cornwall), White (Leighlinbridge), Deane (Roscommon), Quinn (Roscommon)

Hi Marinerclark

Looking through my Monumental Inscription database, and in particular the Rye Churchyard, I noticed the following - perhaps they are part of your extended family:

In memory of Sarah, wife of Thomas Clarke who died Decr ye 29th 1775 aged 41 years followed by several lines of verse

In memory of Thomas Clarke, who departed this life Feby 27th 1800 aged 67 years. Also near this stone lie 7 of his children, viz, Thomas, John, William, Richard, John, Margaret and Sarah couple of lines of verse

In memory of John Farr who died Janry 31st 1805. Mary his wife who died Septr 1st 1826.  Anne Farr their daughter who died Decr 14th 1849. Mary Clark Hoad, niece of the above John Farr who died Feby 15th 1847

Could be worth keeping on the back boiler for future reference

Hi Chris, Really enjoy your website. Thanks for all you work.  I am hoping this Thomas is Philip Clark's brother. Now that I have the in-laws identified as Roberts, Harvey Staffell I need the Rye church yard M.I. by G slade Butler in the Sussex Archeaological Collections #13.  I found them on Google Books fully readable and I can't get them any more.  The Philip Clark memorialized with the Staffells was Henry's brother.  He is listed as a mate on the Stag cutter in the 1790's directory.  He married Mary Machin Staffell in 1788 After Martha Avery died.  The Staffell and the Harveys had businesses on the Strand in Rye where the will of Philip Clark the Elder lists his property in the 1806 will.  Can I post a will I downloaded off the National Archives website without violating copyright?

Yes , please Chris That would be great!  Mercy Clark Married Nickolas Harvey I believe he died end of1805-to before may of 1806 and she may have remarried a SHARVELL Probate 2Mar 1847 if anyone has it She is not in my direct line.  Where else would people be buried instead of St Mary's Rye?  I am missing Elizabeth Gravett Clark Wife of Philip (1787-1853) She died between 1818 and 1823.  Philip sent for the children in 1824 to come to America. So those are the last names I am working on   Thanks Liz

Hi again Liz

Attached to this should be a map of the churchyard drawn at the same time as the transcriptions were done in 1861.

CLARK and STAFFELL are in section A(West of Church adjoing Custom House Street)

Also burials ceased (unless it was a family plot) in 1854:

Extract from an order of Privvy Council, of 29th March 1854
"Rye, Sussex - Burials to be wholly discontinued from and after the first of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty four, in the burial-grounds of St Marys Church, and of the Baptist Chapel; and to cease at once under St Marys Church"
