C 1901 b2 Monckton Row Upper 62/31
Private Dwelling, 1 window in front of 3rd class house, 2 rooms occupied by 9 persons. No out offices
All 9 were Roman Catholic & all born Wicklow all children were single.
Only daughter Margaret could read & write.

1 Earnest Evans, head of household, age 40 yrs [bc 1861] General Labourer, Married
2 Margaret [nee Doyle] Evans wife, age 41 yrs [bc 1860] married
3 Margaret Evans daughter, age 20 yrs, Kitchen maid, domestic servant, single
      4 John Evans, son, age 17 yrs, Agricultural labourer.
      5 Julia (bab) Evans daughter, age 15 yrs, general domestic servant,
6 Mary Evans daughter, age 13 yrs, laundress
7 Samuel Evans, son, age 10 yrs, scholar




the above bears a lot of relation to my family
john my grandad and samuel my great uncle, he died on may 4th 1915 aged 24 his memorial is at the YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, i only discovered this before xmas.

Was Ann Marie Lawless, who married John, born Wicklow? Do you know anything about her or her parents?
Again I have quie a bit of information on the name Lawless in Wicklow Town.

no they are the only details i have for her i`m afraid
my grandfather was born in 1884  and died in 1963
they had 4 children myles, ernest, elizabeth and margaret

Mary Ann ? married John Evans, shoemaker, Resident G.P.V. 1846 Ballinabarney.
They had a son Richard Ayres (Ernest) Evans born 1861 census 1901 age 40 yrs Census 1901 age still 40 yrs! Died 12 th November 1923.age 61 yrs.

what does resident G.P.V. mean?
as far as i know they were buried in the Rathdrum & Wicklow area
