Marriage License or Banns?
« on: Tuesday 30 December 08 19:13 GMT (UK) »
I know what the difference is between marrying with a License and marrying after Banns however, does anyone know of any reason why a couple would opt for a License in 1884 rather than Banns?  :-\

Also was a Bond still required then or had that tradition died out by this time?
