She is living by herself Sherry. Do you know what her husband's name is?

Hi Mariac - I believe it was Robert. He was called Bob.

According to my mother-in-law he wasn't a nice man. He drank away money her father sent for her and sold her to sailors for money during WWII. She married my father-in-law a sailor (10 years older than she) when she was only 17 after he got her pregnant with my brother-in-law. She came to the US, hoping for a better life, where she had my husband. My father-in-law then divorced her. She was sent back to Australia because she was under age and alone. The two children were put in foster homes in the US until my husband's father remarried. My mother-in-law remarried in Australia, had other children and lives near Brisbane. I found her 25 years ago. VBG She's been here to US and my hubby has been to visit her.

All the above probably more than you wanted to know. :)

      Thanks, Sherry H.

Mariac- I found a birth record for a Sidney Arthur Meier in 1906. I think that's probably him. Daisy Alice Wyatt was born in 1907.

Hi Sherry,

I have tried all the different ways Meier/s, mier/s Meyer/s
also just Sydney Arthur no surname and also Sydney no surname and there is no one who comes even close to him

I wonder if perhaps Sydney has passed on and Daisy is between marriages?
regards
Mariac

Hi Mariac - that's very possible. I have no idea what happened to him or when she married Mr. Blair. I just know Sid Meiers raised my mother-in-law until her marriage. I believe Blairs name was Robert (Bob). Thus my confusion. Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

Maybe I should request a lookup for 1930-36 for a Sidney Arthur Meiers. He should be somewhere in those.

Hi sorry to interject, I'm looking for Ivor Albert Turner and Gwladys Turner at Hodel street, south townsville in the Queensland electoral roll.
I know they are in the 1949 and 1959 register but their numbers are two different so I'm guessing there may be someone with them in the family?
Any suggestions would be most welcome, they came from Conway and Llandudno junction in north wales, U.K.
Regards Gareth.
