Hi Paul,

Here is the information from the wedding certificate, well a transcript of the original.

It says at the top the marriage was solemnized at The Registrar Office in the district of Holywell, County of Flint

If you need any more information please don't hesitate to contact me. It would be nice to find out more information including past generations including the parents of Robert Amos and Elizabeth Edwards. I don't know their information so that is why I have included their parents names.

Thanks again.

Tom

Thanks Tom,
Names of the witnesses might come in handy :-\
I did have a quick look in Holywell PR's but found nothing :(

Paul.

Hi Paul,

I had another look at the marriage certificate and the witnesses are -

Thomas Edwards and Mary Owens

It lists the Sub-registrar as William Jones and also J.L. Harrison.

William sent me the info from the census (THanks William) on birhdates of Robert Amos parents, Robert Amos and Jane Evans. I would like to find out when they died.

Also ideally I would like to find out info on Elizabeth Edwards parents, Edward Edwards and Sarah Evans.

I feel fortunate to have back to 1806 but would like to fill in those blanks and possibly go back another generation, or more (Don't we all!)

I am working today more on my research as we are snowed in here in Canada.

Tom

PS I will not attempt to use BOLD and UNDERLINE again. It seemed not to work very well.

Hi Paul.

Many thanks for these records. My gut feeling is that according to my older Canadian-Welsh descendants all of the Amos' and Edwards were born in Mold which would rule out the others.

Having said that it is just a guess. This is the problem I am finding is this line that the same names pop up not only in the same family, but in the respective communities because of family connections.

Take care.Tom

Hello Tom,
This is a long shot, are you related to Annie,(my great grandmother) John Henry or Tomas Martin, who were Children of Martha Ann Martin (nee Amos) who shared your Great Great Grandfather Robert Amos.

From what I know Annie and John Henry emigrated to Canada and stayed with an Aunt Sarah Barnes (nee Amos) John Henry as records show perhaps moved on to New York. There was possibly a Salvation Army connection and Sarah Barnes lived in either Lancing or Forest Hill area.

Hope you can help
Nick

Hi Tom.
here is a screen shot - http://ka-host-one.com/amos-martin.png - of the Amos/Edwards family that my great aunt & uncle have been working on...
The connection with Annie & John Henry Martin is that they were both in Canada, with Sarah Barnes, nee Amos around 1925-30.
Hope you can help
Nick
