Thanks for that Christine.

Looks like they've added some since I last looked, as I've found several things I was missing.

I think they update about once a month - or every 4/5 weeks or something.

I'm pleased to have alerted you to something useful.

Hullo Sue,                                                            my email - (*)

I was pleased to receive your' message. My daughter, Victoria, actually set up my message. I'm more the steam era and don't find computers that easy. Anyway, as she is back in Sydney with her family, I'm having a go!
You were right about our contact with Connie Pendle. My late mother, Constance, kept in touch and when my wife, Joy, and I visited the U.K. in 1992, we met Connie and also the Brices and Yvonne Hamblin ( nee Pendle). Cousins I never knew I had.
Connie informed me that my Grandmother, Lily Rose, had been the "black sheep" of the family, much to everyone's amusement. Although she was well respected in Newcastle N.S.W., where we lived at that time, as she aged some of her stories changed and I had suspected a skeleton in the closet.
More of that next time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Happy New Year , John.

Hello Sue

My grandmother Lily Rose King (nee Howell) migrated with family to Australia in 1928.  Her parents were Frederick Francis Howell and Emma A Constant (nee Rose). FF Howell's parents were John Howell and Elizabeth (nee Teago).

I believe the family lived in Sibton, Suffolk and my grandmother was born and raised in Wickham Market.

According to details I hold, John Howell and Elizabeth Teago were married in 1851 in the Parish Church of Sibton (CofE), with both fathers John Howell and John Teago being present. The certificate number is 974873.

I'd be interested to receive any other information that you may have on this branch of the family.

Best wishes,

John Arthur

Hi all.  Just joined RootsChat as I am researching my late mother's Howell roots.
It looks as though some of the posts in this thread refer to common ancestors (Frederick Francis Howell and Emma Ann Constant Rose).
I will be visiting Wickham Market & Sibton later this week to hunt for further clues.  If you have any leads please let me know of them.

Regards

Des.

Thank you all for your interest, and some new leads.

I have a great deal of info. on my Suffolk Howell family, and would be very interested to know who you are Des! If you are a descendant of FF & EAC Howell, we are related.

Thank you also for the 'Flower' parish. That is very good news. I feel pretty sure it must be my ancestor, & will have too have a look at the entry.

Regards, Sue

Well where do I start?
My name is Peter Teago and as you can probably gather I am a direct descendent fromI think Thomas Teago, not too sure though as I don't have that much info on us, I live in the N.W. coast of Scotland and finding anything is abit of a hit and miss affair.
The earliest mention I could find on the internet was of a Teago being taken to court in QE1 star court.

So excited at finding other relatives though, any info would be very much gratefully received and if I can fill in any blanks I shall do my best.
Suffolk:- Teago
