James Brown born Co. Meath
« on: Friday 16 January 09 20:28 GMT (UK) »
Hi

This man is my great grandfather and is said to have been born in Co. Meath. He married for the third time, my great grandmother Bridget Reilly b. in either 1896/7 or 1903/4 in Ireland or in Liverpool. I cannot find a record of their marriage anywhere but their first child was born in 1922 in Liverpool. He had two children from a previous marriage or marriages called Kathleen and either Tommy or James.

I can't seem to find anything on the man!
Thanks
Abi

Hi. My 2nd Great Grandfather was a John Brown, born 1844 in County Meath and moved to Liverpool where he stayed and married. Not sure if there's any connection as there were a lot of Browns in the area.....i have a professional genealogist working on it so if a James comes up, i'll revert to you.

Thanks

Paul Browne

Abi
Do you have James and Bridget on any census?
Does this show his approx age or give any other useful information?
If you are sure their first child was born in 1922 why think they married in 1896/7 or 1903/4?
That is a twenty year gap which would have been very unusual

Just reread this to realise the dates given are Bridget's approx DoB

Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley

Further generations:

Hi Paul,

I am sorry but Abi's emails are not working at the moment. I think that I may have managed to get a message to her so hope to hear back soon.
