Hello Ivonne. Thomas and Jane Rowell had at the time of the 1861 census seven children. Here is the 1861 census listing for the family:-

Annie Dau, 6 Headley Hill
George Son, 5 Wolsingham.
You can see that he was working at the local pits.
His job as a coke burner was working on coke ovens turning coal in to Gas and coke fuel.

Margaret Rowell, born 17/April/1849 and baptised 23/April/1849, parents Thomas and Jane Rowell, maiden name Wilson, sponsor Margaret Story.
John Rowell, born 2/may/1851, and baptised 17/October/1852, parents Thomas and Jane Rowell, maiden name Wilson, sponsors Rev John Rooks and Castherine Maughan, (the dates suggest that he was born someplace where there was not a catholic church and they had to wait until they arrived at Wolsingham/Tow Law.)
Edward Rowell, born 9/June/1853, baptised 27/March/1853, Parents Thomas and Jane Rowell, maiden name Wilson, sponsor Bernard Harvey.
