Hallo Pam
May I ask where you get this information on the Geernaert family? Are you a relative? The details are listed in a rather strange way, names are spelt wrong, dates/ages are incorrect etc.

When you reply, I will tell you why I am curious.

Thanks in advance.

From a direct descendant of this Geernaert family

Hello
The information I  have listed is taken from the census pages listed in Ancestry. Some of the writing is hard to read.

Don't forget that the inumerator writes down the spelling the way they think the name is spelt.  Especially if the families do not read or write.

Also the incoming passenger lists are taken from Ancestry.

I am not a relative.

Hi Guys & Gals, I've been away from Family History for awhile, so just re-acquainting myself with things, still looking for incidences of Geernaert Family in UK, Canada, New Zealand & possibly Australia. The family lived in and around Colchester in Essex related to other surnames as below.
Any pointers gratefully received. Regards Mark

I came across a "Geeraerts" whilst transcribing military marriage banns for 1928,

Edward Geeraerts, Bandsman, Kings Dragoon Guards, a bachelor

Hilda Harriett Pearch, spinster of St Peters, Holborn, London.

 Banns called 27th May, 3rd & 10th June 1928

They were published in the Royal Garrison Church, Aldershot, Hampshire.
