COMPLETE Albert Edward Lenton born c.1898

I am trying to locate a birth registration or census entry for Albert Edward Lenton.

He married Beatrice Mary Nicholls on 19th March 1927 in Tamworth.  They both said they were 29 yrs old (but I’m wondering if he was making his age up).
His address was Hill Farm House, Mere Green, father Albert Hatton Lenton, gardener domestic.
Her address Rowton Cottage, Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield, father Charles Nicholls, green keeper.

I’ve had success with Beatrice, but can’t find anything beyond speculation for Albert.  Thought his father’s unusual middle name might help, but hasn’t so far.
Any bright ideas for places to search, etc.?

Why would he be making his age up?
 have you looked on the 1901 to see where the family were living, if his age is then right it would tell you where he was born.

It had occurred to me 

I'm wondering if he's making his age up because I can't find any likely birth registrations for 1897/8.
And I'm having trouble locating him on the 1901.
I don't know the local geography, so I wondered if anyone here had any ideas for useful sources other than BMD/census.

Having a quick look at the 1901 I would hazzard a guess at Albert H Lenton aged '999' at Sowe (next to Coventry) as being the father and Albert E Lenton age 6 of Coventry (possibly with gandparents) as son.
Try cross-referencing it with the 1911.
If father was long a gardener he would probably have moved about quite a bit over the years.

What provider are you using?
The Albert at Sowe is 1m old on the image, so I'm ruling that one out 
Can't find Albert E Lenton aged 6 on A*try.  Do you have a ref?

Ah, found it.  Transcribed 'Lanton' on A*try.

That one says father George, aged 73  and mother Kesarah, aged 49.
Mmm odd.

I'll carry on searching.
