Margaret YOUNG born in 1852/5 County Derry
Margaret YOUNG had an elder brother Robert YOUNG born about 1840/2, birthplace not known.
Samuel REID married Margaret YOUNG in Glasgow on 20 Aug 1872.
The marriage register shows that both of their mothers were deceased, Esther REID (nee PARK) and Mary YOUNG (nee LAIRD). The fathers were both agricultural labourers, James REID (who had died before 1906 when Samuel died) and James YOUNG (who had died before 1912 when Margaret died).
The 1881 census shows three lodgers lived in Samuel REID's household in Glasgow:
Robert YOUNG aged 40 born Ireland
Thomas MCILREE aged 30 born Ireland
John CAMPBELL aged 20 born Ireland.
