I think this is likely to be Low Leyton. Low Leyton is now part of the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
Which academy are you looking for? Circa when?

Hi Clincher2
thanks for the info
I am not sure what academy
Its a  friend from Sidney that I am looking for the info for
I have email him and asked if he knows the academy so have to wait to the morning before he will email me.
this is all he sent me
James Perry received his primary instruction in an academy in Low Luyton, county of Essex, in England during 1795 & 1796
Cheers Jan

If it is Low Leyton and you google those 2words and your computer behaves like mine does the second hit will be a link to British History Online. Search that link for 'academy' and you get:
"147E.R.O., T/P 110/45; L.R.L., L35 Pamphlet, Leytonstone Academy advt. 1785.

Go to the Essex Record Office website (google SEAX) for T/P 110/45 which catalogue entry does not take you any further but a search of that file may do so
