Does any one know if Avoncliff is in Wiltshire or Somerset?
Also anything about a Mill which was at Avoncliff?

My map appears to indicate that Avoncliff is just inside the Wiltshire side of the Wiltshire/Somerset border. If you look at the following site you will find some information regarding Avoncliff including a section on Mercer's Mill.

Is there anything you particularly wish to know about the mills in or around Avoncliff? The book on Avoncliff by Nick McCamley has an entire chapter devoted to the subject.

The Westwood 2000 book compiled by Susan Snailum has quite a bit on Avoncliffe too.....

Avoncliff is down in the Valley.  Westwood is on one side, Winsley on the other.  All in Wiltshire
Avoncliff has a small Railway Halt, beside the river Avon.
