There is a place called crieff right next to comrie, infact 5 minutes away.
In crieff there is an independant school called "Morrison Academy"
it was built by the morrisons.
If I had more info on the family,i could probably point you in the right direction.
hope this is off interest.

Hello Vixxi.  Many thanks for taking the time to reply.I didn't know there was a Morrison Acadamy, so I am going to see if there's a site online. This is the info I can give you so far about Peter Morrison.  Peter b:1793,married Ann Sinclaire in 1827 in Comrie. As far as I know so far, Peter had no sisters, though, there are 2 women, Catherine and Margaret, but I don't know if they were Peter's sisters, and there were 4 brothers apart from Peter. Peter's parents were William and Grizel nee McNab. Peter's eldest brothers were twins James and David b.1798. Peter And Ann had a son William b: 1827. I have confirming information that William married a JANET McGIVEN(b 1827) on 26/12/1847 Perthshire. In 1851 William Morrison was shipped to Fremantle Western Australia as a convict. On serving his sentence in prison. at the age of 50, William married JANE ELIZA KERR.  There is no record of his first wife coming to Australia, and I am trying to find out if there were any children born to William and Janet before he was deported. I would be most grateful for any help you are able to give. Many thanks.......... Lyn
