I have read a news item that ITV are going to sell off Friends Reunited [Google 'Friends Reunited Sale']

I am wondering if GR is also up for grabs.

Potential Buyers?

Ancestry perhaps?

Not at all surprising, after their appalling Christmas 2008 advertising revenues (which might have been better if they'd actually put some decent programmes on).  I would think that both Ancestry and FindMyPast would be contenders, but it will probably still be run as a separate entity.
