My Grandparents were Thomas and Elsie Waine nee Corrin, my dads name is Arthur, he is 92 years old, his brother Thomas passed away a number of years ago, we lived in Prescot, Grandad was a miner all his life. Elsie was from the Isle of Man.

If you look at familysearch.org for an Elsie Corrin born in Isle of Man it will show an Elsie G Corrin living in Birkenhead in 1901 age 6 with details of her parents and also Elsie's siblings.

Elsie Gertrude Waine who died 12 February 1983 of 13 Grasmere Avenue, Prescott, left a will

If Thomas Waine snr. died in 1976 then his birth date recorded on his death (GRO) is 12 June 1889.

IF this is the man you are looking for then his parents are William Waine and Elizabeth Bolton who married 1887.

A tree on ancestry has Joseph the eldest child of William and Elizabeth living to old age. I think they have the wrong parents there are other families named Waine with children born Manchester.

William and Elizabeth Waine clearly state only 4 children are living 1911 and they are Thomas, David, Katie and Herbert.
