Ships to USA 1914
« on: Sunday 13 February 05 20:31 GMT (UK) »
This is a long shot but I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction?  Family history (which on many other subjects has been pretty accurate) has it that a family member left England for the States on "the last passenger ship before the outbreak of WW1".  He ended up in Pennsylvania.

Any sugestions how I might trace such a ship?

Thanks in advance

Hi Vee

You might want to try the Ellis Island site.

http://www.ellisisland.org

It requires a registration (free) but will enable you to search for passengers arriving in NY 1892-1924.

Happy Hunting.
