The website has been a big help to me before I ever signed up. I hope it continues to be from now on as well.

Great site.

Everyone is so kind and helpful and this itself instils a great feeling of wanting to help others.  But it is much more than an aid on the way to finding ancestors.    Stories unfold and the past is often brought back to life.   Those old memories are something of an energy, so perhaps the Ancient Egyptians were right with many of their beliefs.

This web site broke down a huge brick wall for me, with very grateful thanks to one member who found ( in 15 mins) the answer to my problem of finding my half brother & sister.
I've spent forty years knowing of them and the last six seriously looking for them.
I hope one day to be as helpful to someone when I've learnt more techniques in how to do it!

I've had the best experience recently on the Australian Desk.
Just a great joy to have 'someone' significantly offer and provide most useful and encouraging support and actual information.

RootsChat is just an excellent site - next best to employing one's own genealogist/family historian.
