I'm in the centre of Hereford Friday of this week ... any requests ??   I only have about an hour, and wouldn't have time to go to the record office ...

I'll be making my first visit to Hereford records office within the next couple of weeks. Once Ive settled into using the facilities and done my first few searches, I'll post my offer of help to others on here when I make future visits.

As mentioned in my first post, my wife is the manager of a shop in town & I pick her up most nights so any pictures or info anyone wants re the town centre, just ask.

When Joshua Elcox (provision merchant at Butter Markets) was bankrupted in 1895 his address was given as Tupsley House, Hampton Bishop.

Tupsley House is a substantial house in Ledbury Road Hereford (opposite Cock of Tupsley) right on edge of Hereford. Today it would be considered to be in Tupsley.
