Thanks, Jackie - "you're my favourite".  I'm not immediately picking up whether you are a Jackie registered with the WFHC.  There are quite a few.  "I'm not doddery - doddery I am - NOT !."  Anyhow, let me know if I can help and I'll give you priority over absolutely everyone else.  Being nice works.  Keith

Oh dear I must be having a senior moment or three just can't see how you search for people on the site Help.
I am trying to find the families of two Whitehouse families joined by marriage.

Elizabeth Whitehouse baptised in St Mary Warwick
637 1828 Dec 7th Elizabeth (14years old) daughter of Joseph and Ann WHITEHOUSE Servant CE CARLIS
She married Samuel Grimerd and was widowed then married Q4 1845
GRIMARD    Elizabeth     WHITEHOUSE    James    Birmingham    16   542

many trees on An..ry have James as son of James and Jane nee Salmon but although I can find their marriage in Hook Norton and baptisms for 5 children I can not find James abt 1821 baptised or with them on any census
Can you heelp with either family please? I am wondering if James and Elizabeth were cousins
Many thanks

Help I am obviously doing something wrong I can't find how to register on that site and when I click on the link to your e mail I get site unfound so I will post my query here and hope you can point me in the right direction. So I will try here again and cross my fingers.
Elizabeth Whitehouse was baptised Warwick St Mary
1828   637   December 7th   Elizabeth (14 years old) Daughter of Joseph & Ann   WHITEHOUSE   Market Place   Servant   CEC
She married twice first Samuel Grimerd in St Martin's Birmingham 1834 then secondly to James WHITEHOUSE in 1845 in Birmingham district
James was also born in Warwick in about 1821 possibly the son of James and Jane nee Salmon though I can find baptisms of other children for them but not a baptism for James
James and Elizabeth had two children that I am interested in
1.James born 1850 m 1867 Amelia Green their daughter Ann Elizabeth b 1870 m William PRATT
2.Harriett b 1852 m Charles Edward PRATT in 1877

William and Charles Edward were sons of my 2x Gt Grandfather
On various censuses these Whitehouses are Hawkers, Earthen ware dealers and fruiters
What I want to know is;
1 Were they Romany/Gypsie folk
2. How do they relate to the Birmingham Whitehouse family
3. Is anything known about Joseph and Ann the only record I have found is Elizabeth's baptism and finally is there any proof that James was the son of James and Jane nee Salmon

Sorry I know its a big ask but I hope you can help with it

Thanks Academy,
I get to the site welcome page and there it stops I can't see how to register or search for specific names etc the families don't seem to be relevant to my enquiry which if a family from Warwick and when I try to down load one incase It just goes off to the etha not showing up on my machine. The marriages I managed to get but only one half of the couple was shown and no dates so I am totally lost and confused then he gives a link which he says will lead to his e mail address and it goes to a page on the Guild of one name studies which tells me "Search parameter invalid" so how do I
1 contact the owner
2 see what is already available
3 get the downloads to show on my machine and finally
4.search for a specific family
I would love to share what I have on my branch to help other WHITEHOUSE researchers if its not already there. From my last post you can see it is quite a complex little group I have the children of Jane Salmon ( I was trying to see if she linked to my Willoughby Salmon/Sammon family) and the children of Elizabeth from both her Grimer(r)d and Whitehouse husbands and I wondered if Elizabeth had married a cousin James But with out finding Elizabeth's father Joseph and a baptism linking James to Jane( there is a baptism for James and a Samuel in Hook Norton to a James and Jane but all their other children are in warwick  so I need proof it is the same James and Jane)
Any help to get me sorted on what looks like his useful and extensive site would be very welcome

I had no trouble getting the contact details from the website.
1) Go to http://www.users.waitrose.com/~whitehousefhc/
2) Click on link http://www.one-name.org/cgi-bin/searchrequest.cgi  **
3) Click on Reg. names button
4) type in Whitehouse and only 1 entry comes up

** problem is the website has listed the results url which is invalid just going directly to it. Should be this link-
http://www.one-name.org/register.html
