Is there anything specific you'd like confirmation on? We have a suitcase full of Luce's info, and there's much more in the Jersey Museum.

I think the key person is Lydia Luce Smith, daughter of  Alfred Smith and Harriett Elizabeth Luce.  She married into my late father-in-law's family (then called Colby but later changed by deedpoll to Cannon).  Was Harriett Elizabeth Luce, and consequently Lydia, a member of the Luce perfume family?

If you're interested, have a look at the various family trees and other documents I have gathered at http://www.easy2use.co.uk/Cannons/ .

Chris

Hi,

Looking at the family records, all we have is the following.

1848  James Joslin married  Lydia Grace Vaumorel Luce

1873  George Luce born

1870 Lydia Grace Matilda du Pre  born

We cannot find Lydia Luce smith or Alfred Smith or Hariet Elizabeth Luce.

Best regards - Piers
