Hi,
Welcome to rootschat!
A William Jamieson (Soldier) aged 22 married a Margaret A. Simpson aged 23
at Blackpool, Millbrex, Fyvie, Aberdeenshire on 28 August, 1918.
William's parents were Alexander Jamieson (Road labourer) and Elizabeth Reid.
Margaret's parents were (and this is peculiar) Andrew MacKenzie (Farm Servant)(Deceased in 1918)
and Mary Ann MacKenzie later married to Andrew Davidson (Farm Servant)(Deceased in 1918)
Witnesses: James Yates and Helen Mowatt.

A Mary Jamieson was born in Fyvie in 1919
[but details are only available on application to GRO
due to privacy laws of Scotland]

This Mary ties in with Margaret Simpson's mother being a Mary Ann.

If you think these may be your kin, you can contact me by rootschat Personal message system,
with your e-mail adress in confidence, so that I can send you the marriage registration image by attachment.

Did you ever make contact with your relative in Cardenden? I have an auntie Jenny nee Jamieson who lives there so I looked to see if maybe there was any connection because she did have a brother named William. However the only William Jamieson married to Margaret Simpson on SP is a couple married in 1918 in Aberdeen. (My William was born in 1915) When do you think William & Margaret were married?
