Hi just found your post and don't know if you're still looking/in touch but  I have info Bartholomew Kindelan and his wife Margaret Smyth some of the their children and cousins who I'm descended from. Some of them immigrated to Dundee, Scotland in the 1850s. I've also been to the downland of  Laraweehan in Drumgoon Parish, County Cavan where they are from and have photos. Please contact me if you want to know more. Am interested to know how you're related.

Hi,
If your ancestor was Solomon then yes he definitely came from the Townland of Laraweehan in Drumgoon parish.
Solomon Kindelan is my ancestor too, practically every Kindlean/Kindlan/Kindlen in Dundee is part of the same family. My Grandad was James Stephen Kindlen, my great grandad was also named James Stephen Kindlen, his father was Thomas Kindelan, his father was Philip Kindelan and his father was Solomon Kindelan. Do you mind me asking who your grandad etc was? Do you want to know more/see a photo of the place?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly - my grandad was William Francis kindlen his dad was Joseph kindlen his dad was Thomas kindelan married to Elizabeth kindlen and his dad was Philip kindlen married to Mary kindlen (all different spellings on Scotland’s people) and I believe his dad was Solomon kindelan - just hoping there are not lots of Philip kindlen in Dundee at the time  :) any info you have would be brilliant thank you so much
