Hi all
Seeking confirmation of information from an old Family Tree regarding William Joseph Chamberlain. Born London 1833, was a ship's bosun and jumped ship in Melbourne in 1853. Married Mary McCallum 31/07/1854 at Collingwood,Vic.
Any confirmation and further information of this gentleman would be appreciated.

Hi Jenn

Unfortunately nothing at the moment on his parents though apparently his grandparents were Joseph Chamberlain b. 18/12/1752 d. 1837 and Martha Strutt b. 1762 d.1824 and were married on 02/04/1792 in Edinburgh.

Hi John,

If you're still around and looking, his mother's name is listed on the marriage certificate as Sarah and no father is listed. This information is from another relative I corresponded with many years back.

The Joseph Chamberlain/Martha Strutt information is not correct, unfortunately.
