Now I would say this counts but don't know if you agree, it was taken inside Dunblane Cathedral

Maybe...But was thinking along the lines of stones in a cemetery not inside a church or cathedral. Whats anyone else think?

I'd say it counts, it does say "in memory" and is for a death, so I say Yeah, but lack of weathering might be cheating a little! ;)

for the afore asked question: it would seem grave/head stones are ALOT older than we think!!

It is there - honestly!!

JJ - On the top of the stone you posted I can see the name JAMES SCOTLAND.

A lot of the older stones just have initials and by the look of this - I presume that possibly this James Scotland would be the Lair Owner.

There are one set of legible initials - TM & IS -  I think then, IS was possibly a daughter who married a T M as 99% of the time the husband's initials are inscribed first, not forgetting that women were nearly always referred to by their maiden names, not their married names so her surname would be Scotland. (In saying that however, the 'I' might not even be an 'I', it could be a 'J')
