All from Slaters commercial Directories :

1894

Parish of BALLYSAKERRY, Co. Mayo, Church Of Ireland - Rev. John Robt. Perdue

1881

ERASMUS SMITH'S SCHOOL, Ardee (Co. Louth), Robert Perdue, master

RED HOUSE GIRLS' SCHOOL, Ardee, Miss Perdue, teacher

1870

ERASMUS SMITHS' SCHOOL, the Green, Tipperary Town, Robert Perdue, master

I wonder if the teacher (Robert) could be his father.. that could be where John's second name came from..

Hi, my name is Hazel Perdue and my father was John Hugo George Perdue, Canon John Robert Perdue was my grand uncle and I think I have some family photos and also have a letter that he wrote.

I live in Victoria BC, the grandson of John Garvey Perdue (died 1963) who immigrated from Ireland to Ennismore, Ontario. This postcard in his effects seems to have the same person (in the top image of this posting) but he is identified as Reverend Ernest Perdue, Canon in Church of Ireland, taken at Mullafarry Rectory (1912).
