Albert Bellamy
« on: Sunday 15 March 09 11:30 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know of an Albert Bellamy born 1911 in Salop, Ironbridge?  His parents were David and Rose, they owned a fruit shop on Tontine Hill in Ironbridge.  Did he marry and who to and where did he live after Tontine Hill?
Any information would be greatfully received.

Hi
I have just started researching my family on Ancestry after my mother passed away and being left with various photo's / doc's etc.
One very important piece of paper is from her cousin (Living) with the family tree of (Bellamy)
My mothers maiden name is Gordon & her mother Bellamy being the daughter of
William 1862/Lucy Markam 1859.
So listed on this tree is your Albert who married a Constance with 2 children who I think were named (*) & (*) although the writing is a bit faint on these details.
As a foot note there is reference to Albert who sadly was killed whist on leave in London during the Blitz in 1940.
She also points out his name is on the war memorial in Ironbride.
I have found his name through Ancestry on the Army roll of honour of ww2 dead.
I notice your also using Ancestry so you might look up my tree under Sharp.
Hoping this will answer your question after all this time
regards Mike.

Wow, Albert was my grandmothers brother!! I'm so glad that we've made a connection!!! My grandmother was Sylvia Annie....she passed away when I was a little girl and my mother (who was an only one) passed away 31 years ago. I only new about their brother Harry until I started doing a family tree where I discovered there were more siblings. Do you know anything about the others please?
