Seven Stars Inn at Cold Hatton
« on: Monday 16 March 09 12:18 GMT (UK) »
My ancestors, the Webbs, were there from the late 18thC. Does anyone have anything about the place and/or the family?

Hi Martin,
This isn't about the inn at he time your ancestors were there; but you might still find it interesting.
It has details of sales particulars in 1912:

Hope it helps.

Also, found this site - your ancestor is mentioned in the 1871 directory.
Lots of information about the area in general, too.

Bagshaw's directory of 1851 lists a John Webb as landlord.

Kelly's directory of 1895 lists a John Webb as landlord and farmer.

hope that this is of some use,
