Cambray All
« on: Wednesday 18 March 09 17:25 GMT (UK) »
Hi I've just started working on my family tree and would like to hear from anyone with information about this family.
My research so far goes back to Icomb in 1814, we then go to Witney and Minster Lovell. I'm also interested in the other lines  of the family name too.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from anyone who can help.

Hi PollyC

Welcome to rootschat  ;D

I don't have links to your family but it might be an idea to post your names on Your Surname Interests at the bottom of this page. There may be other researchers looking for the same names

I've been finding lots of spelling variations. I think most are transcript errors.
The latest find is Cambroy.
Also have Cainbray, Cambary, Cambrey
Camhay seems very strange and I can't quite work out why unless she pronounced the name in a strange way.

Hi
I am also trying to trace my family on my Grandmas side which are the Cambrays, I have got as far back as 1759 when James Cambree was born, he married Sarah Hounsley, she was born in 1769, but now I've hit a brick wall. James and Sarah had, (as far as I can tell), 4 children; Timothy, Jane James and Anne, all born in Farmington, does this link in with any of your research at all?
