If you can give us some dates it would help us suggest were you can look for more information. Will move this to proper board (rather than Ireland-General) if you'll let me know what county this Killogue is in.

Hi,
   I have found

23 Oct 1853 Adam McClure married Margaret Tweed in Kilraughts 1st Presbyterian Church, Ballymoney, Co. Antrim.

I cannot find John McClure but I suppose he was born before official registration started in 1864.

The are lots of McClure in Kilraughts area (outside Ballymoney) so if megbe can confirm dates or other information that ties in with the McClure-Tweed marriage we might be able to find more.

Hi,
Thanks for reply,
The John McClure I'm interested in was my Grandfather.. He died 25th feb 1929 and I think he was 73 years old.  His marriage was probably  April 5th 1905 . His wife was Elizabeth B.Clarke . She died Jan. 24th 1922 aged 49 .  They had three children..  I am interested in getting details of both their parents... I think John's father was Adam McClure and his mother may have been Mollie Tweed . "lizzie" Clarke's mother may have been Eliza Boyd. Other possible  McClure's  in Adam's family were John McClure died  Dec 1875, William died  Jan 1897 and James who died May 1898. Don't take these dates as accurate although I think they are fairly close.
Hoping to hear from you

Hi,
   How do these fit?

12 Jul 1869 William Clarke married Elizabeth Boyd in Kilraughts 1st Presbyterian Church

Following children are listed on a parent search on IGI
Elizabeth 4 Apr 1872  Emerald ancestors gives her birth location as Castlequarter, Ballymoney
Annie       7 Jun 1874
Margaret Matilda 11 Feb 1878

Thanks Kingskerswell, You details fit very well, The Elizabeth you mentioned would be my maternal grandmother who had two sisters Anne or Anna who married Adam Loughridge and Maggie who married Bleakley.. Was there any mention of a brother...not too sure about this.. sorry about the mistake in direction...obviously  it didn't deter you but going from Ballymoney to Ballymena is south  not north...
Regards Megbe.

Hi,
Sorry, no mention of a brother in Emerald Ancestors or on the IGI. However the former only does births up to 1875 and the latter to about 1885. Don't worry about the direction mishap, Aghadowey says the church is just outside Ballymoney and that good enough for me. I further checked on Annie and the family were still at Castlequarter when she was born. I do not know where this is.
